Riley Robinson is the father of Ida Robertson Judge and the father-in-law of Drayton Judge. Drayton and Ida are the parents of Hattie Judge Orr. This photograph is presented to honor Riley, who because of his vision, many of us are here today. We recognize that Riley isn't the only ancestor that "had to be" so we could, but his memory could be re-animated in a sense that we can "see" what he looked like. We can see evidence that some of his offspring bear similar physical attributes.
Historically, it is said that the first permanent photograph was made in 1826 by a French inventor, Joseph Nicéphore Niépce. The adage "a photo never lies" and the myth suggests that looking at one's image has some effect on that person's soul may have some merit. For it seems that the more we know about a person, coupled with the image gives life to that person.
Wendell Orr spoke of the "protection" of our seed a few months ago. Riley Robinson travels the earth through his surviving generations. Preserving his memory and those who came after him effectively makes him (and us) a time traveler. We dedicate the memory of Riley Robinson to the Orr/Judge descendants in the hope that we continue his journey through his seed.
